Member Story Review Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter is Furness Building Society, Emlyn Hughes House, Abbey Road, Barrow-in-Furness, LA14 5QY.

Furness Building Society is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.

 

2. Eligibility

The promotion applies to  UK residents aged 18 or over who fall into one of the below categories:

•             Existing members

•             New members who open an account during the promotional period  

•             Non members who attend a Member Story Review

Member Story Reviews with multiple members will only count towards one entry.

Employees of Furness Building Society, their immediate families, or anyone professionally connected with the promotion are not eligible. 

 

3. Entry Method

Members will receive one entry into the prize draw when they complete a Member Story Review with a Furness Building Society colleague. A Member Story Review is a structured conversation with a Furness colleague to understand your financial goals, circumstances and future plans, so we can support your financial wellbeing.

Only one entry per member per quarter is permitted.

Participation is voluntary and you are not required to take out any product or service.

You can choose to end the review at any time and participation will not affect your access to any products or services.

No purchase is required.

 

4. Promotional Period

The promotion runs continuously with prize draws conducted quarterly. Each quarterly draw will include all eligible entries received between the first and last calendar day of the relevant quarter. Quarters will be defined as the following dates each year.

·       1st January –  31st March

·       1st April – 30th June

·       1st July – 30th September

·       1st October – 31st December

 

5. Prize

One winner per quarter will receive £500.

The prize will be paid into their Furness account or by Bank Transfer into a non-Furness Account.

The prize is non-transferable and no alternatives will be offered.

 

6. Winner Selection

Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries using a fair, unbiased and auditable selection process.

The draw will take place within 14 days of the end of each quarter.

 

7. Winner Notification

Winners will be contacted using the contact details held on their membership account.

If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, a replacement winner may be selected.

 

8. Publicity

The Society may request permission to publish the winner’s first name and town.

Participation in publicity is optional.

 

9. Data Protection

Personal data will be processed in line with the Society’s Privacy Notice and applicable data protection laws, for the purposes of administering the prize draw, conducting the Member Story Review, maintaining customer records, and complying with legal and regulatory obligations.

 

10. General

The Society reserves the right to amend or withdraw the promotion where necessary.

The Society’s decision regarding the prize draw is final.

These terms are governed by English law.
