Introducing the new Mortgage Charter

We understand that times are tough for homeowners, especially those who are nearing the end of their fixed-rate deals. With the Bank of England's 14th consecutive rise in August 2023, it's no surprise many of you are concerned about your ability to keep up with your mortgage repayments. That's why we've joined the government's Mortgage Charter to keep supporting our customers through these challenging times.

We know that every penny counts and want to do everything we can to help ease the burden. We’ll be regularly reviewing the guidelines set out in the Mortgage Charter to ensure we're doing our utmost to be there for our customers and offer solutions. What is the mortgage charter?

With high inflation affecting the economy,  the Mortgage Charter aims to provide borrowers with much-needed reassurance and support during these difficult times. Under the Charter, homeowners can contact their lender for help if they’re worried about their mortgage repayments.
