Charity Football Match Tournament Rules

The tournament will be played in accordance with the FA Small-Sided Football Laws of the Game (7-a-Side), except where amended below.

1.No Offside

The offside rule will not apply.

 

2. Match Duration

Group and knockout matches: 8-minute first half, 4-minute half-time, 8-minute second half.

Cup and Plate Finals: 15-minute first half, 5-minute half-time, 15-minute second half.

 

3. Team Size

Seven players on the pitch at any one time, including the goalkeeper.

Rolling substitutions are permitted throughout the match.

 

4.Throw-Ins

The ball must be returned to play using a throw-in when it wholly crosses the touchline.

Opponents must stand at least 2 metres away from the throw-in.

 

5.Goalkeepers

Goalkeepers may handle the ball within their penalty area.

Goalkeepers may not pick up a deliberate back-pass from a teammate.

 

6. Free Kicks

All free kicks are direct unless otherwise indicated by the referee.

 

7. Referee Decisions

The referee's decision is final.

Persistent dissent or arguing with officials will not be tolerated.

 

8. Respect & Conduct

This is a charity event, and all participants are expected to behave respectfully.

Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or offensive language and behaviour will not be tolerated.

Any player, substitute, or spectator displaying unacceptable conduct may be removed from the tournament and/or venue.

 

9. Fair Play

Play competitively, but safely.

Dangerous, reckless, or violent conduct may result in immediate removal from the match and further disciplinary action.

 

10. Tournament Organisers

Organisers reserve the right to make decisions in the interests of safety, fairness, and the smooth running of the event.
