Big cheer for Horwich Hunters

29th July 2016

Furness Building Society is cheering on the Hunters Cheerleading group which meets at Horwich Leisure Centre, with a donation from its £150 Community Giveaway fund.

The fund makes 150 payments to charities and community groups each year.  The Furness money was used to send the Hunters’ Masters Team to the European Cheerleading Championships in Slovenia in July as part of Team UK after they won Nationals in their category. The payment was made through the Furness Building Society agency within accountants Leach Briely on Lee Lane, Horwich.

Hunters runs programmes in competitive cheerleading for ages 6 and upwards, with no maximum age limit.   Cheerleading incorporates impressive stunts, gymnastics and dance moves, and also helps to build fitness and self-confidence.
