Data Team Analyst

An exciting vacancy has arisen for the role of Data Team Analyst.


The post-holder will learn new skills working with the Society's large volumes of data utilising the APEX platform.  They will learn to assist in the planning, design and creation of high quality data feeds to and across the various Society business units, whilst working with the key business contacts to improve business data for both tactical and strategic use.  A key attribute of the role will be the ability to work productively both alone and as part of a team.


Listening to the voice of the customer and wider stakeholders, the post-holder will demonstrate a continual improvement in the team’s service and effectiveness.


Working collaboratively with the Society's business units the post-holder will:


  • Assist in the design and delivery of data requests for the Societies various business units.
  • Learn to provide accurate management information to Operational Management and the potentially the Executive team.
  • Have a driven approach to meeting regulatory and statutory deadlines.
  • Be proactive in highlighting any risks and issues through effective escalation to team leads and ensure continued visibility until resolution.

The successful candidate will be expected to possess the following:-


  • Experience of working with Oracle database technologies, in particular SQL, PL/SQL, Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers and Views.

Desirable Skills:-


  • Exposure to the full development lifecycle, including requirement gathering/analysis, design, development, testing, Implementation and support.
  • Experience of working with Oracle APEX.

Candidates will be highly motivated, possessing a “can-do” attitude, excellent communication skills and an eye for detail.  Strong problem solving skills and a natural flair for creativity and imagination are all good personal characteristics.  A professional commitment to high quality and a passion for learning new skills is also required. It is important the successful candidate is confident to make sound judgements based on their proven skills and experience and has the ability to act on their own initiative.


You may be required to work additional hours outside the Society’s normal working hours to deliver the requirements of the role.
