Think you’d spot a fraud or scam?  Most of us think we would, yet millions of pounds are lost every year to criminals who trick people out of their hard earned cash and savings.

Here at the Furness we work to protect our customers by providing helpful information and talking to you if we have concerns about any transactions on your account.

The aim of this page is to provide you with helpful information. 

WHAT TO DO IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF A SCAM OR FRAUD

If you believe you have been the victim of a scam or fraud CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY by calling us on 0800 220 568,  and then choose Option 1 – Savings Accounts, and then Option 3, to be put through to our Service Hub.

Our opening hours are 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am -12 noon on a Saturday.

Please try to have the following information available if possible:

  • your account number
  • the amount of money involved
  • date of the transaction
  • where the money was sent to – name, sort code and account number

If you have been a victim of a fraud or scam, you should also contact Action Fraud and your local Police service on 101 .
