Furness Building Society raises over £3,600 for Bolton Hospice

Furness Building Society customers have shown their support for Bolton Hospice by raising a fantastic £3,606.63.

By opening a Bolton Hospice affinity account with Furness Building Society customers can get interest on their savings whilst also supporting the hospice. Each year the Furness makes a cash payment – from its own funds – to Bolton Hospice based on the average balances held in the accounts.  So, this means that the more supporters save the bigger the cash payment Bolton Hospice will receive. In 2017 the account has raised £3,606.63.

Lorraine Melling (pictured centre), Furness Building Society’s Horwich Agency Team Leader said: “ We are delighted to present Bolton Hospice with this donation, they  provide an extremely important service to people in our community and we are glad to be able to support them.“

Stephanie Lacaille (pictured left), Bolton Hospice said “We’d like to thank Furness Building Society for their continued support, as well as all those local people who have opened a Bolton Hospice Affinity Account.  All donations will ensure that we can continue to care for local people with both cancer and non-cancer life limiting illnesses, and their families, at the hospice itself, and in the comfort of patients’ own homes with the support of our Hospice at Home service.
