An exciting vacancy has arisen for the role of Commercial Finance Manager, reporting to Head of Finance.
The main accountabilities of the role will include:-
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Finance Management Team and will have strong self-management skills. Listening to the voice of the customer and wider stakeholders, the post-holder will demonstrate a continual improvement in the Finance team’s service and effectiveness.
Ideally, candidates will possess retail banking/building society experience with a sound understanding of the UK financial services environment and the mortgage/retail savings market.
It is preferred that the successful candidate is a qualified accountant possessing strong financial modelling skills. However, those candidates who possess the relevant experience will still be considered and if successful they will be required to undergo studies towards a relevant accountancy qualification.
Candidates will be highly motivated, possessing a “can-do” attitude coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong problem solving ability and a natural flair for creativity and imagination are all good personal characteristics. A professional commitment to high quality and a passion for learning new skills is also required. It is important the successful candidate is confident to make sound judgements based on their proven skills and experience and has the ability to act on their own initiative
The role may require additional hours outside the Society’s normal working hours subject to work volume
