Making electronic payments from your savings account

Your financial security is our top priority and we want to do everything we can to protect you and your savings.

Transfer limits

When you ask us to make a transfer from your Furness savings account to another person, a company or another account in your name, the following limits will apply.

  • Transfers up to £250 per day can be made for most reasons, including sending money to friends and family, making payments to registered companies, or to another bank or building society account in your name.
  • Transfers up to £750 per day will only be made to a registered company, for example, for the payment of goods and services or to pay households bills, such as gas or electricity. Payments can also be made to another bank or building society account in your name.
  • Transfers over £750 will only be made to a bank or building society account in your name.

When you ask us to make electronic transfers of any amount from your savings account, we’ll act responsibly and with diligence for your protection. We’ll also ask you some enhanced security questions, to make sure your money remains safe and gets to the right place.
