Furness Building Society is relocating its Head Office to Emlyn Hughes House in Barrow in Furness. The organization has been in Barrow for over 150 years and is committed to staying in Barrow.
The new headquarters will provide the company with work space suited to its growing and evolving workforce.
The move will take place in the summer and will involve the relocation of over 100 members of staff across all functions of the Society. Furness has been in Barrow for over 150 years helping its customers achieve their dreams of buying their own homes and providing a safe and secure home for their savings.
Chief Executive, Chris Harrison, told us “This move is the latest innovation in what is a period of continuous improvement throughout the business. We have invested significantly in creating an environment in which our teams can perform to the highest standard, updating our technology will enable us to introduce new and more effective smart working practices - all with the common aim of providing our customers with a first class service. Our customers are after all, at the heart of everything we do”
Barrow branch customers will continue to use the services of their local branch where they will be greeted by the same friendly team, as the Society’s flagship branch will remain at 51-55 Duke Street.
