We recognise the hard work that local people do in our communities and the Furness Community Awards Scheme gives local people the chance to apply for £150 to give them a helping hand with the fantastic work they already do to help others in their local community.

This scheme is new for 2015 and replaces the previous Community Support Scheme.
Applications will only be considered within the Society’s branch and agency network.
We understand there are different local franchises of national charities however in order to fairly distribute funds, we will only grant 1 x £150 to a national charity within a 12 month period
All successful applicants must be willing to attend a presentation which will be photographed, and be prepared to appear in promotional publicity for Furness Building Society in both online and press activity. This will remain the property of Furness Building Society.
All applications are considered by our community support panel. This ensures that applications are dealt with fairly and equally and results in an even distribution of support throughout the year. Applications are considered on the understanding that panel decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Those applications which are unsuccessful will NOT be notified individually. The successful applications will be published on www.furnessbs.co.uk/furness-150-community-giveaway-winners in the month following the application being received.
