The Barrow community garden project at Marsh Street Arches has been given a growth boost by Furness Building Society with a donation of £150 to help support activities involving local schools and youth groups.

Children from the Ramsden Infant and Nursery School in Barrow are pictured during a visit to the Arches project to learn about growing food.

Furness Building Society is making 150 x £150 payments to charities and organisations across the North West to mark a landmark 150 years since the Furness was founded to support local communities.
