Helping you choose a mortgage

Choosing a mortgage may be your most important financial commitment. There are two levels of service which the Society provides and we will tell you which we offer at the outset.

These are:
A: Advised
B: Non-Advised

Advised

We will give advice in a face to face interview and also over the telephone through our branches. Any advice you receive from us will be based on your particular requirements and will relate to suitable products available from us.

Non-Advised

This is where you contact us through our telephone based branch ‘Furness Direct’ or where an advised telephone branch interview is not suitable for you. When the service is non-advised you will be clearly informed of this and the choice of mortgage product and repayment method will be yours.

We will need to ask you some questions to narrow down the selection of products on which we will provide details. From this information you will be given sufficient information to enable you to make an informed choice.

We would always recommend that wherever possible you receive advice from us on your mortgage choice.
