Fixed Rate Mortgages Guide

A fixed interest rate mortgage is a loan where the interest rate applying to the loan is fixed for a specified period of time and does not change irrespective of any general interest rate changes which may apply from time to time. There may be a fee to pay to enable the funds to be reserved.

If you take out one of these loans your monthly repayments may be lower than they might otherwise be for the period of the fixed rate had the mortgage been at the Society’s standard variable rate. However with a fixed rate it is worth remembering that this could be higher than the Society’s standard variable rate.

Please note
Free legal fees are only available in England and Wales and where a standard remortgage is taking place. For Scottish cases we will contribute £150 towards the legal fees. If you would prefer to use your own solicitor we will contribute £150 towards the cost of the legal fees.
YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON YOUR MORTGAGE
