Lakes Alive

Lakes Alive is a programme of inspirational outdoor arts events and festivals taking place across Cumbria. It provides mostly free events ranging from large spectacles and weekend-long festivals to smaller, more intimate events in small villages around Cumbria, attracting a very broad audience including people who do not usually attend more traditional arts events.

Since 2009 the Lakes Alive team has presented more than 63 events in over 35 towns and villages. It has showcased the work of over 1000 artists from around the world, attracted over 150,000 audience members and generated an economic impact of around £6m for Cumbria.

By opening a Lakes Alive Affinity account you can be sure that you are helping provide world-class arts activity to the widest audience in Cumbria without it costing you a penny, because Furness Building Society will make a cash payment each year to the charitable arm of Lakes Alive equal to 1% gross interest on the average total balance held in all Lakes Alive Affinity accounts. So the more you save, the more Lakes Alive will benefit.
