How does a charity or affinity account work?
It’s simple – YOU SAVE – WE GIVE
By opening an affinity account with the Furness you will be helping your chosen charity or good cause because the more you save, the more we give. A group of supporters open savings accounts with the Furness which are linked to a particular charity or good cause. Savers get a competitive rate of interest on their savings, and easy access to their money.
That’s all the work you have to do !
Each year the Furness will make a cash payment – from its own funds – to your chosen charity or good cause based on the average balances held in the affinity group accounts. So, this means that the more supporters save in their chosen affinity scheme, the bigger the cash payment the good cause will receive
Let’s give you an example:
In 2011 a local hospice in Ulverston, Cumbria received a cash payment of more than £140,000 from the Furness as a result of their affinity account. This cash is a fantastic help to the Hospice. Supporters of the Hospice are delighted to be helping without it costing them a penny !!
North West Air Ambulance received more than £110,000 through their affinity scheme.
So why not open a charity or affinity account today? Take a look at the range of good causes available or you may have already decided who gets YOUR support and OUR money!
