At the Furness we are strongly committed to being part of and supporting our local community. We are able to do this through joint projects, ongoing partnerships and a grants award system. Much of the support given to organisations is to assist charities, educational projects and young people, but we are happy to consider request from a wide range of appropriate organisations.
Furness Building Society was the first building society to be awarded the highly prestigious Community Mark which demonstrates the important commitment the Furness has to the local communities in which it operates.
In addition to the support provided to organisations throughout the year the Society has several successful affinity accounts whereby supporters of certain organisations can earn a higher rate of interest on their savings whilst the affinity organisation benefits from an annual donation of 1% of average balances in the account. Visit our affinity accounts section on our website for more information.
