Morecambe Football Club had two good results at their match against Grays Athletic. The Shrimps won one nil with a goal scored in the opening minutes of the match and they also scored with a donation from Furness Building Society in respect of the 'Shrimps Savings Account'. The cheque for £535.07 was presented to Club Director David Robinson, the Furness was represented by two keen football supporters Branch Regional Manager Barry Fitzsimmons and Regional Development Manager John Thompson.
The 'Shrimps Savings Account' is operated by the Furness and any Morecambe FC supporter can open one. The greater the total amount saved by the supporter, the larger the annual donation from the Furness will be. If the forthcoming play offs at Wembley go to plan the club will looking for even more support as a league side, so the affinity account gives a great opportunity for everyone to get a win / win situation.
