Furness building society launches insurance club

Searching for insurance can be a real chore. So Furness Building Society has launched a new service to help take the hassle out of finding great value cover – its Insurance Club.

For those registered with the Club, the Furness Team will actually contact them at the time their insurance is due for renewal and provide a competitive quote and wide ranging cover.

Available to members and non-members of Furness Building Society the service, which is provided in association with InsureandGo and AXA Insurance UK plc, will be offered across a range of products including travel, motor, motor breakdown, commercial vehicle and home insurance. Other products will follow in 2007 including pet and commercial vehicle insurance.

Scott Robinson, Insurance Controller at Furness Building Society, said:
"Most people find searching for insurance time consuming and also quite boring. It can be tempting to do nothing when your renewal comes up and to stay with the same provider, but this could mean you not getting great value cover. We launched our Insurance Club to flip the sales process on its head so that instead of you ringing round or spending hours on the internet, we'll call you before your insurance is due and help you choose the cover that's right for you"

Registration, which involves giving personal contact and insurance renewal details, only takes a few minutes. Consumers interested in finding out more or wanting to register can either call Furness Insurance Club on 0845 338 1106 (calls maybe monitored or recorded) or provide their details via an online form which can be found at Furness insurance
