Higson Cup Triumph
On one of the warmest summer days of the year a triumphant Cleator Cricket Club claimed an emphatic victory over local rivals Workington in the Furness Building Society sponsored Higson Cup. The Cleator team overwhelmed Workington in both the batting and fielding arenas. The trophy was presented to David Rooney, Captain of the winning Cleator team by Furness Building Society's Judith Wren, General Manager (Sales & Marketing).
