Hearts of Gold
It's that valentine time again and staff at all Furness Building Society branches are giving out ‘hearts of gold’ (chocolate!) during 'valentine week' to promote their charity affiliations.
Each branch is supporting their chosen organisation in order to boost the charity affinity account with the Society. By opening an affinity account customers can support charities including Red Cross, North West Air Ambulance, NSPCC and locally to Furness, St Mary’s Hospice. The Furness makes a donation equal to 1% of the total balances in the affinity accounts on an annual basis. This can provide considerable support for the organisations. In 2006 North West Air Ambulance received over £40,000 and St Mary’s Hospice over £78,000.
Romance can’t be promised, but everyone will receive a heart warming welcome to help them give a little love to their favourite charity this valentine time!
