Brand New Thinking for Furness Building Society
An extensive and detailed research analysis has taken place into the Furness Building Society brand, its public image and how to build on its current strengths. As a consequence a re-branding programme has commenced.
Furness Building Society Chief Executive, Rob Cairns said, "This re-branding exercise is a very strong starting point for which we can move forward, grow our business and connect with a wider public".
With the financial markets currently experiencing a period of great uncertainty and flux, it was felt that it represented an ideal opportunity and timing for the Furness to re-brand. It allows the Society to demonstrate it is a confident, stable organisation working well in an unstable market.
The new approach builds on the Society’s existing customer service strengths whilst establishing the Furness as a modern, professional, approachable and unique organisation.
The new corporate identity covers everything from a new logo, stationery, and livery to exciting new branch exteriors, updated interior decoration, staff uniforms and point of sale material.
Alongside the new logo the Furness Building Society proposition is underpinned with the strapline ‘Always with your interest at heart’. Rob Cairns said "This highlights the fact that the Furness is particularly strong from a service point of view as well as being strong on the financial front".
The whole look is designed to be clean and uncluttered, with this, the new public face of Furness Building Society, being the first step in attracting a broader base of customers and positioning the brand firmly in the 21st Century.
"A roll out programme of branch and head office development is being finalised whilst people will begin to see the new changes in terms of stationery, point of sale material and uniforms in the next few weeks" said Rob Cairns.
