Furness Building Society Ulverston Branch staff were celebrating this week as they were crowned 2006 winners of the much coveted Society Branch of the Year Trophy. The team of staff, lead by Mary Phipps Jones are proudly displaying the trophy in the branch office.
On receiving the trophy from Society Chairman, Michael Hart, Mary said:
"I am delighted to be receiving this on behalf of all the staff. Everyone has worked extremely hard through the year and it’s great to know that this hard work has paid off."
Michael Hart said 'All the branches have had an excellent year, but Ulverston have been particularly outstanding' All 11 of the Furness branches are now looking to achieving greater success in 2007 and competing for the trophy – in a Furness friendly way!
